Insight on STEM's Work Immersion
STEM or Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, an
academic strand, home of future engineers, scientists, doctors, and more that
are related to the core and aim of the strand. Yet as an academic strand, its
main goal for the children/students’ decision in future career is yet to be
uphold, some are still confuse and some are determined but the students have
different view in future’s career choice.
Industrial Immersion is the OJT or On Job Training-
supposedly on college- yet senior high school is considered as the first step
in college, so it had been applied on senior high school, and STEM is one of
it. Because STEM students have different choice of their future careers, others
are confused and did not know what to do- so I can say it’s pretty tough on
choosing a right and handy job for the Industrial Immersion. Plus the less
opportunity of living in a suburban place (sorry to tell) but it’s true that
suburbs places have less opportunity to find a job for the immersion that
perfectly suited or at least suit our preferred future career on hand.
And my
other concern is that, we, as senior high school students having less knowledge
about that ‘Industrial Immersion’ thingy are so naïve with such thing, we are
like a dump bunny not exactly knowing what we are going and have to do, and how
the system runs. But the curriculum demands an Industrial Immersion so we, I
rather have to obey and we’ll/I’ll do my best to work it out, at least we
experience something that may be one of the possibility of whatever the future
brings. The Dep-Ed just concern and thinking for us to bring out our best and
excel in our own path of careers. And I can’t deny the fact that I am a little
bit nervous and not ready to carry a heavier burden and responsibility.
